This year marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Colombia. Standing at a new historical starting point, China is willing to make joint efforts with Colombia to promote greater development of the strategic partnership between the two countries and bring more benefits to the people of both countries. Both sides should consolidate political mutual trust, enhance strategic communication and firmly grasp the development direction of bilateral relations. We should take Colombia's official accession to the family of high-quality joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative as an opportunity to promote the quality improvement and upgrading of cooperation between the two countries. China is willing to import more high-quality products from Colombia, support Chinese enterprises in investing and doing business in Colombia, and participate in infrastructure construction. Both sides can further expand cooperation in emerging fields such as wind energy, new energy vehicles, digital economy and artificial intelligence, and jointly achieve green and low-carbon transformation. We should successfully hold the celebration activities for the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, strengthen cooperation in education, culture, tourism and other fields, enhance people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and consolidate the public opinion foundation for friendship between the two countries.

The Fourth Ministerial Conference of the China-Latin America Forum was successfully held, sending a positive signal to the world of seeking common development and rejuvenation. As the rotating chair of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), Colombia has made significant contributions to the successful holding of the conference. China is willing to work with Colombia and other Latin American countries to continuously deepen and solidify the building of the China-Latin America community with a shared future and bring more benefits to the people of China and Latin America. Petro said that the friendly relations between Colombia and China have a long history, and Colombia looks forward to further developing relations with China. Both sides should deepen political mutual trust and enhance mutual support. After the meeting, the heads of state of the two countries jointly witnessed the signing of the "Cooperation Plan between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Colombia on Jointly Promoting the Construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road".
